Jill Mueller is an Independent Educational Consultant and College Advisor. She is the founder and owner of EducationOptions, an educational consulting practice offering personalized guidance tailored specifically to each student. Jill Mueller holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in neuropsychological disorders. Prior to founding EducationOptions, Jill held teaching positions at Greenwich Academy in Connecticut and The Green Vale School on Long Island. During her time at Greenwich Academy, Jill was chosen to be a mentor with Manhattanville's Student Teaching Program. Her responsibilities included mentoring graduate level interns in curriculum development, teaching strategies, classroom management and early childhood development. In addition to her head teaching position, Jill worked in Greenwich Academy's enrollment office, giving tours and evaluating perspective candidates for admission.
Jill Mueller is a member of The Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), The New York State Association for College Admissions Counseling (NYSACAC), and The Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA).
With the changing landscape of college admissions, Jill routinely attends national and local conferences to stay informed on admissions trends while making regular visits to college campuses throughout the school year. In cases where a student needs a special setting, Jill maintains a membership with The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), so that referrals can be made to professionals trained in therapeutic settings.
Jill's philosophy is rooted in her strong belief that every student has the potential and desire to do well in school. Finding the "best fit college" is key in making that a reality for every student that jill works with.
